Response from the Secretary to some recent comments

Editor - updates have been slow due to Holidays and some comments have not been published due to their derogatory nature.

This is an emotive moment in the life of the Association and a decision has now been made (after 30yrs plus) regarding the planning application. The redevelopment of the remaining gardening area will provide far more  usable gardens for the future of the community and allow the Association to move on and resume its original purpose, that of gardening.

Frustrating as it is we are waiting for CEG (the developers) to provide more information, no time scale has been forthcoming as yet, but in the next few months we should know more and will keep everyone informed.

If you have comments on the normal running of the gardens that need dealing with, i.e. dumping or trespass etc. please email the secretary directly. Do not use the comments here as they are not updated daily and delay will be avoided.

Secretary's response to some recent comments...

"Will any work start this year? The Association has no additional information since the reply. We do not know when work will start, and cannot say if winter digging is wise.

The Association are not experts in the complex planning laws and their implementation. The developers CEG are experts in this field and we are guided by them. We are aware of the various requirements still needing agreement before any work can start.

The Association provided the information following discussions with the developers CEG. As the “quiet time” is over we are waiting for information to pass on; be assured we will do as soon as possible.
The Association are not paying lip service to existing gardeners concerns, but without hard facts cannot provide the information. We would be rightly criticised if we provided inaccurate or incomplete information."
